最近十幾年,台灣媒體用字越來越帶有中國風格,最明顯的變化之一,就是把原本中性的「策略」改寫成帶軍事意味的「戰略」。 賣手機的商業手法變成「行銷戰略」;政府因應疫情振興經濟成了「戰略」;連鼓勵民眾買書、振興文創產業,也要用「戰略」包裝。 更讓人意外的是,一本教英文的雜誌《英語島》(English Island)裡,也出現了這個詞。在〈世界的移住風潮:I-Turn日本青年的浪漫鄉村夢〉這篇文章中寫道:「…除了政府4年前開始推行『地方創生』政策,今年3月,日本旅遊局還提議把『遊客到鄉村』(體驗農村住宿型旅遊)當作觀光政策的主要戰略。」 什麼時候開始,大大小小的事情都要「戰」一下了? 思想形塑語言,語言也創造思想。 在這個紛亂的時代,本來只是政府或企業的普通「策略」,媒體卻習慣用「戰略」來呈現。我認為,這股風氣不該再繼續。 為什麼我要特別花時間討論這件事? 老實說,這和我的設計本科背景有很大關係。 設計訓練讓我養成一個習慣:每一個字、每一個圖、每一條線條,都必須有意義。最好的設計,就是「你無法再加上任何東西,也無法拿掉任何元素」,好的設計就是「增一分則太
