SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE IN SWEDEN
Sweden is renowned for being a land of lakes and forests, but the coastline of the country is also dominated by an archipelago of reefs and rocky fjords. Rising sea levels and more frequent storms in the Baltic Sea are forcing architects to think differently about sustainable building forms and materials

This international project seeks to explore newer types of flexible solutions. Sweden is blessed with an abundance of timber and well-insulated timber architecture can go a long way in maintaining sustainability in construction. However, in this project we also allow for greatly increased sea levels by raising the buildings off of the surrounding rock level.
這個跨國設計案主要是希望藉由建築設計師的觀點來探索更創新靈活的解決方案。瑞典擁有豐富的木材資源，隔熱良好的木造建築對建築的永續大有幫助。然而，在這個項目中，我們也透過將建築物抬離周圍的岩石水平來避免海平面大幅上升時可能造成的損失和傷害。
The response has been really encouraging, both from the construction industry and from the domestic Scandinavian media. Somehow this type of climate-right building is on the right track. This is especially true when this approach to architecture shows a definite economic reduction on more traditional forms of building.
